The CRUISElab is happy to announce the addition of Josh Armstrong to the #iCruise/CBS research team.
Josh Armstrong is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at York University. Before his move to Toronto, he pursued his studies across Canada (in Alberta and British Columbia) and internationally (in the Netherlands and Switzerland). Josh’s current research sits at the intersection of sexualities, social movements, new media, and violence. His proposed doctoral project investigates the factors which underlie the successes and failures of transnational intervention regarding LGBT human rights abuses. Beyond his work with the CRUISElab team, Josh is involved with two other community research initiatives (both in Alberta): the first aims to identify gaps in training for victim services advocates and, in response, develop training curriculum; the second examines the relationship between participation in deliberative exercises and pro-environmental attitudes/behaviours.
